On Monday night, we all sat down to observe the beginning of Passover week, recalling God's deliverance of His people from the slavery of Egypt.
The holiday began at sundown. Our family followed a Hebrew/English Hagaddah reading sections of the Bible that tells the story of the Israelites first Passover meal.
During the evening, several courses of a feast are served. I had decided to serve a roasted lamb dinner for the main course. (Click photo below to go to my online cookbook for April "recipes of the month" page.)
Depending on the family, the Passover seder can go well into the early hours of the morning with songs of celebration. Ours was very relaxed and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening, the meal and the celebration. Hag Sameach to the house of Israel!
